Members Meeting

Location:
Green Spaces
33 Flatbush Ave, 5th Floor
Brooklyn, NY

We'll be presenting an overview of VPF including its history and vision for the future; a sketch of current committees; and generally prepare all members for our upcoming grant season.

Grantseekers

VPF seeks to provide an effective method for identifying emerging under-funded, under-recognized projects or programs that embody an entrepreneurial spirit, and promise high impact and effectiveness for complex, persistent social problems. VPF is especially interested in supporting startups and fledgling organizations that have not yet received significant support from major funders.

In order to focus on issues in a meaningful way, each year VPF will make a grant in one critical area, such as education, the arts, poverty, etc. In 2008-2009, VPF members voted to support unique, innovative ideas that seek to improve the environment in New York City.

If you are interested in applying for a VPF grant, we encourage you to first familiarize yourself with VPF by reading through our website, checking yourself against our eligibility requirements and taking the 2008 pre-application questionnaire.
