Committees
NYC Venture Philanthropy Fund currently has five committees. Each is fundamental to the progress and success of our work.
Communications
The Communications Committee is responsible for being the voice of the organization ultimately creating and developing items ranging from press releases and PR materials to the management of our Facebook group. Due to VPF’s nature, much of the work involves online communication including website and blog management, monitoring and managing VPF social networking portfolios, and driving online marketing/branding efforts overall. For more information, please contact: communications@nycvpf.org
Finance
The Finance Committee establishes VPF’s financial policies and procedures and then monitors its activities to ensure that the organization maintains its fiscal integrity. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in applying financial acumen, building skills for senior/executive management, and/or learning Board member responsibilities. For more information, please contact: finance@nycvpf.org
Grants
The Grants Committee drives the entire grantmaking process for VPF making it the vital heart of the entire organization. The team is responsible for managing the overall grants process including seeking out, reviewing and evaluating potential grantees and ultimately creating a portfolio of social entrepreneur candidates to be placed on the member ballot each year. For more information, please contact: grants@nycvpf.org
THE GRANTS COMMITTEE IS CLOSED FOR 2008
Membership and Donor Relations
The Membership and Donor Relations Committee drives strategy and planning to build VPF membership overall while acting as the primary contact and communication source with both existing VPF members and those interested in joining. The team is also elemental in driving membership events and campaigns. For more information, please contact: membership@nycvpf.org
Project Management
The Project Management Committee is a group of individuals who volunteer their skills to help VPF manage our pro bono commitments. They act as the key liaison between our grantees, the assigned VPF volunteer team and the VPF Guidance Board managing the project timeline and deliverables. For more information, please contact: projectmanagement@nycvpf.org
